Our mission is to protect animals, prevent animal cruelty and improve the health and quality of life for animals in Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania SPCA is the second humane organization founded in the United States and is the largest and most comprehensive in Pennsylvania. We have been the leading advocate for animals in our region since 1867.

Throughout the years we have been dedicated to improving the lives of Pennsylvania’s animals through our core programs, each of which is entirely funded by our generous supporters.
