Effective date: Feb 1, 2017

At Dogly™, we take privacy issues very seriously, and we have adopted the following privacy policy for the benefit of our Users. This policy explains our privacy practices for dogly.com (the “Site”) and services provided by Wide Wold Dog LLC.

By visiting our Site you understand and consent to our collection, transfer, manipulation, storage, disclosure and other uses of your information as described in this policy. This includes any information you choose to provide that is deemed sensitive under applicable law. This policy only applies to Dogly’s Site and services. We are not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of any of our members including brands, shelters, ambassadogs, and artists, or third-party websites.

Dogly may modify or update this Privacy Policy from time to time, so please review it periodically. We may provide you additional forms of notice of modifications or updates as appropriate under the circumstances. Your continued use of Dogly or the Service after any modification to this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such modification.

Dogly collects the following types of data and information:

Information About You:

To use our platform, you will need to provide us with a valid email address. Depending on the services you choose, we may collect additional information, for example: billing or payment information, a telephone number, and a physical address. Please note that for security and performance reasons, such content may need to be accessed by certain Dogly personnel from time to time.

If you are a brand, ambassadog, shelter or artist, Dogly may require additional information to provide the service, such as a shop name, billing and payment information (including billing address, telephone number, credit card information), a telephone number, and/or a physical postal address. We may store credit card information and use it for both billing and payment purposes. Dogly may contact individual brands to confidentially request more information about their store or items listed on the Site, or to ensure compliance with our rules and applicable law. Certain products or services on Dogly may require you to complete an application; information you submit through the application processes will not be displayed publicly and will only be used internally by Dogly, unless otherwise specified.

We use the information that we gather from you in a number of ways. For example, if you purchase an item, we’ll share your shipping information with the brand you purchased from; we use data analytics and work with certain third-party service providers for targeted online and offline marketing; and of course, we use your email address to communicate with you. We also partner with service providers and other third parties that collect, use, promote, and analyze information about Dogly members and visitors.

Some members or visitors may connect to Dogly or register a Dogly account using an external third-party application, such as Facebook. Dogly may receive data from those connected third-party applications. Connecting your Dogly account to third-party applications or services is optional, and when you connect your account to an external app, you will be granting Dogly permission to receive information from the third-party applications. You can also choose to share some of your activity on Dogly on certain social media networks which are connected to your Dogly account.

On occasion, Dogly will contact you. Primarily, these messages are delivered by email or by push notifications, and every account is required to keep a valid email address on file to receive messages. Some messages from Dogly are service-related and required for members. Examples of service-related messages include an email address confirmation/welcome email when you register your account, notification of an order, and correspondence with Dogly’s support team. You may not opt out of receiving service-related messages from Dogly, unless you close your account.

Dogly may also send you messages related to certain features or your activity on the Site. Dogly may send you news or updates about changes to our Site or services. From time to time, we may develop new types of messages and share them with you to inform you about our services. Primarily, members will receive these messages via email or push notifications, but you may choose to opt out of receiving different types of messages.

Dogly offers optional email newsletters. When you register for an account, or choose to subscribe to a newsletter, you will receive newsletters from us. Newsletters are available to both members and non-members.

As part of the buying and selling process, Dogly will facilitate the sharing of information between the two members involved in the transaction, such as the other Dogly’s member's email address, shipping address, and payment information. By making a sale or a purchase on Dogly you are directing us to share your information in this way. We expect you to respect the privacy of the member whose information you received. You have a limited license to use that information only for Dogly-related communications or for Dogly-facilitated transactions. Dogly has not granted you a license to use the information for unsolicited commercial messages or unauthorized transactions. Without express consent from that person, you must not add any Dogly member to your email or physical mailing list or misuse any member’s personal information. Remember that you need to comply with all relevant legal rules when you use Dogly. This includes applicable data protection and privacy laws which govern the ways in which you can use another Dogly member’s information.

Dogly is affiliated with a variety of businesses and works closely with them. These businesses may offer promotions (including email promotions) or sell items or services to you through Dogly’s services. Dogly may also provide services or sell products jointly with affiliated businesses. When an affiliated business is associated with your transaction, we may share information related to the transaction with that affiliated business to facilitate your transaction.

The security of your personal information is important to us. Your Dogly account information is protected by a password. It is important that you protect against unauthorized access to your account and information by choosing your password carefully, and keeping your password and computer secure, such as by signing out after using our services.

Some features of the Site may not function properly if use or availability of device identifiers is impaired or disabled.
