Hi everyone! In the support group last week (Thursday, May 20) we spoke about natural flea and tick and heartworm preventatives and the protocols I have found helpful and effective for my dogs. Throughout this workshop, I will reiterate what we spoke about in the support group and provide the herbal protocols and homeopathic remedies.
Remember, health starts in the gut and at the cellular level. Our dog's gene expression can be altered to either promote health within the body, or dis-ease. Feeding a fresh food diet promotes a strong immune system that naturally protects against viruses and bacteria. This is because when we create a balanced immune system with an abundance of good bacteria, it functions as it should and protects and defends against environmental assaults. On the other hand, if the body has a lot of inflammation and an overgrowth of bad bacteria, then it creates a space that allows viruses, bacteria and parasites to thrive.
The goal of herbal healing is to stimulate the immune system to naturally protect against viruses and bacteria. Herbs and plants provide medicinal properties that work synergistically with the body to provide gentle support as our dogs deal with thousands of toxins around them every day (though the air, water, ground, etc). Herbal preventatives work from the inside out deterring fleas, ticks, mosquitos and other bugs.
On Thursday (5/27), I will share a list of immune boosting foods and supplements that you should be adding to your dogs meals regularly, regardless of if you feed raw, cooked, kibble, or something in between. On Saturday (5/29) I will share the flea and tick herbal protocols and homeopathy that I use. On Monday (5/31) I will share the heartworm herbal protocol that I use and also touch on blood tests, including titer testing. So stay tuned!
Last thing! I just scheduled my next support group on June 9th at 7pm. I will be discussing pre and post vet care and how we can support our dogs naturally through stressful events, so please go check that out :)
Blessings my friends <3
