a session with Maggie
with Richard Gonzalez of TheDomesticatedDog, Training Advocate

In this session , Maggie and I work on stay (level 1).

before we trained, we went on a decompression walk for about 15 minutes. We did this because Maggie has more than normal energy for her breed and for a adolescent. I have found Maggie does better when I get some of that energy out before training.

Like all new behaviors, we start first getting the behavior, once we have consistency around 90 percent, we go head and name the behavior (add the cue).

This session I was just marking for Maggie staying on the mat while I moved around her. This video is almost 5 minutes. As you see you can do a lot in 5 minutes.
