About Us

BE the WE

We are a foundation assisting Bully-type dogs and their people in North Carolina. We pull our dogs from county shelters as well as accept owner surrenders. We work to educate and spread the good word about our beloved breed through community outreach, owner assistance and beyond.

MPBF is a foster based foundation. Without our fosters we cannot save dogs! Be the second chance that so many dogs deserve. There is nothing more rewarding than opening your home, watching a dog grow and giving them to a fantastic family that will give them the forever home we work so hard to find!

We believe in finding the best fit for your family! Our applications team works hard to get to know each of our adopters through your application answers, phone interview and home visit. Help us continue to find over 100 dogs each year their forever home!

Merit Pit Bull Foundation depends on the generosity of our donors and volunteers to keep the wheels turning. Your generosity allows MPBF to be able to continue giving each dog who enters our program comprehensive medical care and the training they all deserve thanks to your support
